Sam Jadoe Joins LPRC Oilers

MONROVIA, Montserrado – Former Gardnersville Football Club forward Sam Jadoe has joined Liberia first division club LPRC Oilers on a three-year deal.

The 22-year old winger joined the Oil Boys as a free agent after being released by LISCR Football Club before the start of the 2016-17 national first division league season. Despite two years remaining in his LISCR contract, LISCR’s new Gambian coach Tapha Manneh, who had no plans for using the former Invisible Eleven forward, cut Jadoe.

Since his release, there have been numerous interests from top clubs within the country, including first division defending champions, Barrack Young Controller. However, it was the LPRC Oilers that secured the signature of the talented forward.

Jadoe has already started enjoying life with his new club, which has reached the final of the annual Liberia Diaspora Tournament. He made his debut in a 3-0 win over the Diaspora team before helping LPRC reach the finals with a 2-1 victory in the semifinals over his former team, LISCR FC.

After his signing, Jadoe used Facebook to express his joy. He wrote, “I’m pleased to announce that I have joined LPRC Oilers. From my time as a kid, I have dreamt of playing for this club. Big thanks to my new [teammates] and technical staff for the huge welcome. I have come over to help the club win trophies.”
