PAYNESVILLE, Montserrado – Former soccer legend and senator, George Weah, was inaugurated as Liberia’s 25th president on Monday, January 22.
The historic ceremony, graced by over 30,000 people, including an array of celebrities and world leaders, including current and former heads of state, marked the first time in over seven decades that Liberia has witnessed transition of power from one democratically elected president to another.
