Weah Appoints New Presidential Press Secretary

MONROVIA, Montserrado- President George Weah has appointed Isaac Kelgbeh as his new press secretary. The disclosure was made Tuesday in an Executive Mansion release.

Prior to his appointment, Kelgbeh served the UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS as Outreach Officer.

He now replaces Sam Mannah who became Weah’s first presidential press secretary. Mannah was recently appointed as deputy managing director for administration at the National Insurance Corporation of Liberia.

He was reportedly suspended as press secretary to the president for allegedly disclosing confidential information. But the government did not make any public disclosure on the report.
