Zah Krangar Fires Felda to Semi-final as Solomon Grimes Continues winning

MONROVIA, Liberia – Zah Krangar’s 76th-minute strike sent Felda United into the Malaysia Cup semi-finals at the expense of 2015 Malaysia Super League champions, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC. The final score was 2-1, at the Larkin Stadium.

Brazilian striker Thiago Agusto Fernandes gave Felda the lead in the 3rd minute from the spot. Six minutes into the second half,  Safiq Rahim leveled the score. Then, Krangar scored the winning goal.

Felda moves to the semi-finals on a 3-2 aggregate and will now battle out Malaysia Premier League’s champions Kedah FA to reach the finals.

Meanwhile, Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh’s dream of winning the 2015 Malaysia Cup came to an end after a 2-1 home defeat to Kedah FA.

In Cyprus, Solomon Grimes played a full 90-minute game as his club Nea Salamis continued their good winning form since the international break. The “Red Giants”, as they are commonly called, collected their seventh league win of the season after an emphatic 2-1 away at Doxa.

Nea moved up to the fifth place on the Cyprus first division league table with 22 points from 12 games.

Still in Cyprus, Theo Weeks returned to the pitch after a two-month hamstring injury. The box-to-box midfielder played the final 30 minutes as his club Ermis got their second league victory of the season.

Ermis whipped 11th place Paphos 2-1 to move up to 10th on the league table with eleven points in 12 games.

In Turkey,  the forward Tonia Tisdell remains on the sideline as his club Osmanlıspor continues to struggle for proper form in the Turkey Super Lig. Although he has been a part of Osmanlıspor’s eighteen man squad, Tisdell watched his side’s disappointing 1-1 draw away at Antalyaspor from the bench.

With just a point earned, Osmanlıspor drops to the 11th position with 15 points in 13 games.

William Jebor might be a star striker for the Lone Star of Liberia but continues to struggle for playing time at Ponferradina.Their recent defeat drops Ponferradina to the 7th place with 22 points.

In Albania, difficult days continue for defensive midfielder Abel Gebor whose club Tërbuni Pukë suffered their 10th defeat in 13 league games. Tërbuni’s poor performance this season drops them to the bottom of the Albania Super Liga with seven points.
